Gender and Sexuality

1.How are masculinity and feminity represented in the media?

Masculinity and Feminity could be represented in the media in several ways.Many essential elements of your own gender can reveal your sexuality.For example, Feminity could be seen by many ways and I think the clear example of it is in stores. If we enter into a store, we can see that sections are divide by your gender.In some way in many cultures Feminity is seen as a cultural idea not a biological one. Maculinity can be shown in several ways too,for example in gym propaganda mans are a particular object to show. (slideshare.net)

2.Whats specific images and words contribute to our understanding of what Masculinity and Feminity mean ?

3.Does the media make assumptions about what men/boys like and how they (should)behave?Are there similar  assumptions made about women/girls?

Social media is a very heavy critic because they can make a rumor a real thing only to make people feel uncomfortable or seen as another thing in life.Social media is an scandalous body that criticise people and its way of living.The social media is kind of ironic and false in some way for their convenience and profit.

In all genders social media want to cause struggles and confuse people actions but no matter social media always shows truth of how people sexual behaviour is.

4.What impact do such media representations have on real-life opportunities and possibilities offered men and women in their personal and professional lives?

Real media can help you chase your dreams and achieve them.With social media human life is easier and happier perhaps the social can bring unfavourable rumours for a persons life.
For example women in the US do not have a dominant status in the political charges if we can see there are only 14 senators in the US.

Bruce Jenner gender change caused a strong rain of positive and negative critics in all the world.Many famous characters pronounced positive with Bruce change.I think his change might be a good row model for others to express with no fear and be the persons they always wanted to be.Such as gay,lesbian,transexual and etc.

Reflection:

In my opinion this is a weird thing to read and know.I am not saying that Bruce change is not positive because first of all is not my life.Maybe Bruce is happy with this change and he is living his life to the fullest.This change bring good things to the world and help gay or lesbians to does not have fear and be happy just the way they are.

Masculinity Is More Than a Mask

Masculinity is not only BE A MAN.Sometimes when people refer to be a man is to be respectful,chivalrous and attractive.A study of the university of Manchester reveals that man see sex from another point of view.To continue mans are really obsessive with some things that make them believe they are a man.So men have to think that there is a healthy masculism and a pathological one.

Reflection:

I think the purpose of the article is try to inform and teach the reader that mans are a totally different gender than females and that their thoughts are completely different so that is what makes them feel strong and dominant,but this article shows the opposite thing and make me reflect about what we are and what woman value.

The Five Main Issues Facing Modern Feminism

This article show how feminism is found in out daily life. It gives it's  5 forms of practice.The first way is that woman are still doing the major part of the domestic labor, even when man knows how to do it. The second way is what we see in the media.  In some publicity woman is shown as an object.The third way is that still people humiliate woman just because they are woman. The fourth way of feminist is the social inequality, which makes that we find more opportunities for men than for women.And the last way is the violence against women which has increased in the last year and each time is more cruel.

Reflection:

This article shows just 5 ways of how women is still discriminated by man, and they are found daily around us.i think that female are affected of they way that some man treat them and I think that is cruel in some way because of woman we are what we are and we aren't recognising that.

Feminism – A Dirty Word?

This article shows the history of feminism.  How women began to fight for their rights and obtain some of them.  The first right was the one to participate in elections. During the past time many feminism movements had appeared around the world and had been very important. Feminism is still needed in today’s society to campaign for and uphold the rights of women. It certainly is not irrelevant for the young women of today, nor is it irrelevant to anyone in our society. If anyone thinks that feminism has gone away or that there is no need for it anymore, they are so wrong.

Reflection:

Feminism is a movement that has to remain for a long period of time. It began many years ago and it has done a very good job. It has obtained some of the rights that men have just because they bored being a man.  There is a long road to walk for the women rights and that they are treated the same way as men.

"The Great Gatsby"

Gatsby is famous in New York because of his extravagant parties,with lavish spectacles.Gatsby invited Nick to one of his parties.The party was so extravagant with rich guest in Roll Royce,big banquetes,fire works and a nice sinfony to turn on the party.Gatsby was a really calm person and very wealthy he worked with the German army in the war as an spy.In that war Nick worked to and that was the thing they connect them.

My character is Nick

"Anything can happen now that weve slid over this bridge,"I though;"anything at all..."Even Gatsby could happen,without any particular wonder.(Fitzgerald 73) 

The quote means that they are in the wealthy land and there can happend anything because money controls anything in the world.The miracles can exist in this land because Gatsby was like a really admiring person because he earned the power and the respect of all the people so thats the image Gatsby impone in  the city.

I really like how people behave in thsi tomes and how they show their superficial face of absolutly everything becasue they are really superficial.So I like to learn the culture in this time period.I dislike the way Nick is getting influenced by this stupid people that thinks that money is food love and evrything in the world.So I really expect the next chapters can help me to get another perspective of the way Nick behaves.

It is really interesting to find the good details and the real Gatsby.It menas the Gatsby appear to be known as a fresh person that know how to manage situations.

Dear diary:

Today is a new day but the problems continúe here in Salem.Well the church is still looking forward two abolish the withccraft because is causing serious problems.To continue my wife is still being accussed because of witchcraft.I am accussed by Mr Parris when i was at court trying to defend my wife of being Hung.Well I was in the court and Mr Harris said that I was a mischief.Mr Parris was really disrespecrful to me he said I didnt love god and that my wife was totally a witch.It is not a secret that a htae Mr Parris he always is trying to make my image be bad in front of the town and I have a really good reputation.That doesnt have importance today my point is that my wife Mary Warren is being acussed for things she didnt said and thats really unfair i read the Gospel to defende myself and herself in court.Mr Hathorne said to me that my wife is pregnant and she will never lie so that was big news for me.To continue I am in voice of my freinds their wifes are taken to the court because of withccraft and they know those womans for many years they are the farmers and they told me that their wifes never never were league with the devil.This was other thing that happend at the court wella we ere talking and Mr Giles said Mr Parris murder farmers to gain their land and that really surprises me well his old age produced a fury attack to Mr Parris because he was desesperated that his wife was acussed of witchcraft.Mary said at the court that she was totally inocent and that she wanted to be free.She said that she is with god and that she never in her life had see the evil.In the court they said to Marry that pretend to faint but she couldnt so they said that if she couldnt hint she had the lost the spirits because of the evil.Mary tell her testimony and she said that she never saw the spirits.I beg the court that please realesed my wife well she is always serving me at home and she never contact the evil so I beg thath my wife is safe at home because of the court making the correct decisión.She is acussed by Abigail and she is this girl that is in love of me and she wanted that my wife is killed so she can stay with me.She said that my wife went in to her room one night so that she considered that kind of things witchcraft.When the mistery was being cleared Abigail and the girls started to see a animal inside the court so they runo ut and all the comunity went behind them.We went in to a swamp a Mr hale started to ask questions about the witchcraft and Marry acussed me in frtont of all the town about what happend and she said I am the witch that I had mad all this mistakes.The truth is that she did this because she is one of the witches.Abigail wantd my wife killes so she can have  me but thats not going to work well I am going to get hung because of what Marry says.I think my life story is coming to the end well my life is going to ent because of some things that I never did and that all that was to destroy me and my image.

John Proctor Act 1

Dear Diary,

It is 1962,I lived in Salem for many years and I am a very recognize person here in my town.I am a good man but I have a big secret that Anyone can know.Well I am inlove with. Abigail.We have a romance and please sorry but she is like really crazy in other words is a slut.To continue the life in Salem is really easy,like in all towns there are society problems.By the way my name is John Proctor an I live with my wife Elizabeth.She is extremely jelaus of Abigail.Our goverment system is theocracy and there is a big problem in Salem that withcraft is turning up and church doesnt tolerate that.Abigail is guilt of some type of withcraft.I dont believe in the withcraft this town have many problems and barely some can be solve.

When I go to see abigail my excuse is that I go to see her uncle.SHe thinks and believes that I am inlove with her but is not real because she only likes to have sex and if the town discover I am with her I can be acuse of adultery.I went to her house to see what was happening with the girls and the withcraft.When I went there Abigail and me started to talk about us about the feelings we have in common and she was sure I love her.We have this kind pf conversation and then I went to the village to see what is happening.When I reach the village I speak to Putnam and told me that kids were diying.This happend because people believed the same cause.These cause is withcratft.I have fight alot with my wife because of Abigails.I went home and have discussion with Elizabeth she was really dispouinted for many things.Abigail is a very high slut she made my wife went to court because of some kind of rumors Ill destroy her no matter what.My head was un fire when I discover she told the cort my wife was guilty about withccraft and please I am so sorry but thats totally crab.If my wife is hang or punish by Abigails fault I will rip her out and destroy her.Salem has many problems the witchcraft the fight for lands for power for many things thats a reason i leave out of the city.So this is today journal I am really mad and worried about my wife she is not guilty about this crab of witchcraft.

In our socraticseminar,we reflected In each question.The question that I chose for my reflctio is:WHY DOES THE OGRES WIFE HELP JACK?In my group we discussed various reasons.The first one is that Jack and the ogers wife are the same raze so she decided to help him with food and shelter.We thought that another reason could be that the oger and the woman doesnt hs kids so she decided to treat him as a son.The last reason was that we think the woman was like a slave for the oger so she decide to help jack.
